Using 12x12 canvas, scrapbook paper, and modge podge Caitie made some really beautiful art to go over the bed in the master bedroom.
I really love this idea, Caitie! I have become increasingly disintered in mass-produced art at everyday department/home stores over the last few years. It can be really pretty, but it just doesn't feel special. I love having unique pieces in my home, and one way to make sure it's one-of-a-kind is to do it myself! This project is such a great options because you can totally customize it to fit the space on the wall you're needing to fill and the colors and patterns are up to you.
So come on and give Caitie some love! What do you think?

The costume was adorable!!! I want to be Audrey Hepburn too! lol
ReplyDeleteCatie did a great job! I'm addicted to scrapbook paper - so many pretty patterns. This is a great way to display them (instead of just hoarding them!).
Have a great week, Dana!
This is a easy and neat project. I always have scrap paper laying around. I'm a new follower, please drop by whenever you have a chance. http://decoratingwcent.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteLove this idea! New follower! Thanks for joining our Terrific Thursday Blog Hop and for posting our button! :)
ReplyDeleteCatie, how did you keep the mod podge from wrinkling the scrapbook paper? When I tried to use mod podge it gave it a very wet, wrinkly look. I also read a tip on another site that it's impossible to do it if you want a sleek look. Do you have a secret you can share? Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteJennifer, let me check with Caitie and see if she has any tips! :) Thanks for stopping by!!
